Due to Japan’s devastating earthquake named Tohoku in March 2011 the LINE application was developed. Due to the earthquake the telecommunications throughout the nation was damaged, a unit of NHN Corp developed this application. NHN Japan launched LINE for public in June 2011. The application gained its popularity over the year since then and is now used by many users.
